Lieutenant Sarko Gergerian Featured on The Joe Rogan Experience

We’re thrilled to share that Lt. Sarko Gergerian—an alum, lead instructor, and champion of SoundMind’s First Responder Peer Support Initiative—was recently featured on The Joe Rogan Experience.

Sarko’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. As an active-duty police officer and longtime mental health advocate, he has spent over a decade on the front lines—first as a patrol officer, and now as a leader shaping trauma-informed, compassionate approaches to crisis response.

At SoundMind, Sarko plays a pivotal role in our Facilitator Training Program, where he brings his deep expertise in peer support, MDMA-assisted therapy, and community-integrated care. He is a founding member of the CLEAR program (Community and Law Enforcement Assisted Recovery), which bridges the gap between law enforcement and mental health services for individuals facing substance use and behavioral health challenges. But beyond his background, Sarko is a powerful example of what leadership can look like when we center compassion, healing, and service.
